Midna is a character from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess who appears as a major character in the story. She appears as 2 trophies and 2 stickers in Super Smash Bros Brawl. In addition, there is a song ("Midna's Lament") associated with her that plays on the Bridge of Eldin stage.
In Twilight Princess, Midna would ride Link in his Wolf Form, and offer him advice, or she could warp him to places where Shadow Beast were desroyed. Additionally, she could aid Wolf Link in battle by creating a forcefield that would destory the last two shadow beast without having them be revived. Eventually she was revealed to be the Twilight Princess by the Sages in The Mirror Chamber. After you defeated Ganondorf, Midna was changed back to her normal self, and after entering the Twilight Realm, she destroyed the Mirror of Twilight, thus breaking off connections between the World of Light (Hyrule) and the Twilight Realm.
Due to her popularity, and Link's visual update to bring him in line with the Twilight Princess games, there was a brief round of rumors stating that Midna would be playable in the game. These rumors were eventually proven false upon the game's release.
