In Pikmin 2, Captain Olimar gets a new two man spaceship as his original ship, the S.S. Dolphin, was sold to repay debts. The nosecone of the ship is able to come off and locate treasure. Also, when Purple and White Pikmin are brought up from the underground, they are housed in this ship, because there are no Purple or White Onions. After the debt in Pikmin 2 is paid off, the ship would be upgraded to a Golden version of it's past self.

Role in Brawl

When Olimar uses his final smash, End of Day, the ship lands right next to him. He stands infront of it, gets inside and takes off. The act of taking off is a spike, and does 25% damage. Once the Bulborbs attack the players, the ships crashes back down into the exact center of the stage, with powerful knockback, and about 17% damage.

Role in the Subspace Emissary

Capt. Olimar and one of his allies go into his ship while the other characters use their ships. They attack a Subspace Battleship until Kirby destroys it with his Dragoon. It is seen sputtering into Subspace, after all the others have gone in.

Trophy info

A battered old spaceship used when Hocotate Freight first opened. Its appraisal gauge analyzed garbage Olimar brought home and found it to be valuable. With his new ship sold off to pay company debts, Louie and Olimar flew this one back to the Pikmin world to find more treasure. The ship's removable research pod accompanied the adventurers when they ventured underground.
