The following is a list of unlockables a player can obtain in Super Smash Bros.

Unlockable characters[edit]

After meeting the encounter requirement, the character must be defeated in a 1-stock match to be unlocked.

Character How to encounter
Captain Falcon Complete 1P Game in 20 minutes or less.
Jigglypuff Complete 1P Game with any character.
Luigi Complete Bonus 1: Break the Targets with all 8 starter characters.
Ness Complete 1P Game on Normal difficulty or higher with 3 lives or less and no continues.

Mushroom Kingdom (SSB) Complete 1P Game with all 8 starting characters and play every multiplayer stage at least once
