Phazon Laser (フェイゾンレーザー, Phazon Laser) is Dark Samus's Final Smash.
Overview[edit]
Dark Samus fires a wide laser ahead of her for several seconds. The beam keeps opponents trapped and hits them multiple times, building up damage before a final launching blow as the move ends, and can be angled up or down while firing. The move is functionally identical to Samus's Zero Laser, though it lacks the thruster boosters that deal additional damage.
Instructional quote[edit]
Move List | Dark Samus unleashes a massive, long-range beam. You can angle the beam up and down while firing. Fighters are drawn to the center, and the attack repeatedly hits any foes caught in its blast. |
Origin[edit]
The beam bears a resemblance to one of Dark Samus's attacks in the final boss fight of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, where she discharges excess amounts of Phazon energy to maintain stability.

Trivia[edit]
- When activated through the Final Smash Meter, Phazon Laser has a marginally increased knockback multiplier compared to Samus's Zero Laser (x0.989 and x0.988 respectively).
