(Reformatting to be more standard. This tournament was annoying because I saw the result post about SEAT1, saw talk about doing a SEAT3 (which dubiously happenedn't), but the only thing for SEAT2 was either "it happened, was fun" or "I can't go to that tournament because I'll be at SEAT2". 2+ hours for this and nothing to show for it) |

SEAT (short for South Eastern Australia Tournament) was a series of Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments, post @M, that attempted to solidify the Melbourne Smash Community. The SEAT tournaments featured players from Western Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales, and South Australia, as well as Melbourne.

The first installment of the SEAT series broke the previous attendance record set by @M. SEAT was the first Australian tournament to make a genuine effort to deviate from traditional double elimination tournaments. It incorporated a unique manual randomization of several qualifying rounds, with the highest scorers advancing to a final. Kupo easily won the tournament, unchallenged by runner up CATS.
