He is the eldest of the notable Japanese players from the early years of Melee, and organized tournaments such as Kansai Ranking Battles, the Ketsubato series, the Kessen series, and Japan United Smash Festa Round-Robin 3, which had 64 entrants. He also provided cash prizes to tournaments. IKKI lives in Kyoto (Western Japan), near Captain Jack, Masashi, and Aniki. CaptainJack considers IKKI to be one of the greatest contributors in the history of the Japanese Smash community.[1]
