Turnip Cafe (TC), also known as Team Turnip is a professional esports organization based in Houston, Texas. At the end of 2022, the married couple of Brian Lee & Mauricio Benavides created a small shop called Turnip Cafe so they can sell drinks/pre-made food to Smash players at local/regional events. At that time they used the earnings to provide pot bonuses for locals/regionals and paid for players’ Ubers/entry into events that they knew and needed help. They soon realized that continuing with Turnip Cafe as a food/beverage sales business would be too difficult and decided that we would still keep the name/brand for sponsorship instead. Hence, TC sponsorships were born.
