BackItch is a Canadian smasher from Calgary, Alberta who hosts CAST along side with Janitor and =]. BackItch was a talented Link SSB main before breaking on to the tournament scene in late 2006 at the bi-weekly tournaments hosted by the Pro Impact Players. BackItch is also largely responsible for organizing and directing the Central Alberta Smash Tournament along with several other smashers across Alberta.
BackItch's play style has been criticized as being very predictable and devoid of most advanced techniques.
While most Peach players depend on float-canceling and C-Sticking, BackItch tends to ignore these advantages completely, instead relying heavily on Peach's spam and high priority moves. Despite the lack of technical skill, BackItch places consistently high at the local Pro Impact Bi-Weeklies, although his ranking has been steadily decreasing. BackItch also seems to have an uncanny knack for pulling items and the dreaded Stitchface Turnip, often getting one or more per set. BackItch is currently ranked 20th on the CCSC Power Rankings.
