Fire Bird is Falco's Up Special Move in both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. The effects are as follows:
- Does 14% damage.
- Somewhat high priority.
- Puts opponent on fire.
- Lags at the beginning.
- Infamous for being the worst recovery in the game (arguably).
- In Brawl, opponents that are caught in the move will be dragged with Falco, similar to Lucas's PK Thunder when he hits himself with it.
Unlike the Fire Fox, it doesn't burn opponents during the charge-up animation in Melee but, in Brawl it does. It also appears to cover a slightly shorter distance.
