As with many other nationals, a "B" or amateur bracket was held as well for players who finished outside top 4 in pools. Kansai 2020 (or 12th Kansai) was a major Super Smash Bros. tournament held in the Kansai region of Japan. Foreign Players Josh Brody, Darkhorse, Madrush, Olikus and jonnjonn attended. It was streamed on Darkhorse's Twitch channel making it the first Japanese major with a player camera. The format of the tournament was Bo1-Pools (with 4 players advancing) followed by a top 32 bracket Bo3-Double Elimination. It was character-locked. Kurabba won his first national tournament with a 2-1 against Wangera in WF and a 2-0 against Sekirei in GF. As with many other nationals, a "B" or amateur bracket was held as well for players who finished outside top 4 in pools. This single elimination best of 1 (until finals) tournament was won by Take who took it over Sonjo 2-1. Along with the main two events, a paid 50$ money match was done between the top 2 Link players; sekirei and Gyaki; where the former won 3-0.
