Hey, I've noticed you wrote several character introductions for the ''Ultimate'' sections, and I just want to nudge you on some stuff real quick.
*First, the introductions should be more so a summary of the character's strengths and weaknesses that shape how the character plays. It shouldn't list every strength or weakness the character has, as that's the attributes section's job.
*Second, the wiki has been working on removing information on character matchups, as was also discussed on Discord. Unless it's something very egregious, I'd say avoid listing specific characters that a character is strong or weak against.
*Finally, in terms of competitive representation, a character's best players should be listed in the intro, and not a list of notable players that a character has; that should be saved for the "most historically significant players" section.
Most of what you have down is fine, but these are things I'd say pay attention to when writing intros. They don't need to be long; they just need to summarize how the character is in the game. Wi-Fi mains[edit]
We do not have the "wifimain" parameter or the like, mainly because rarely do people use different characters on Wi-Fi. Plus, MkLeo still has a pocket Wolf and Cloud offline, so it doesn't matter regardless. CookiesCreme 14:49, May 4, 2020 (EDT)
- Yeah, we don't have that kind of thing in the template. And Cookies and Creme, what do you mean by "Wi-Fi?" SonDaniel (talk page) 14:50, May 4, 2020 (EDT)
Probably should elaborate from my bluntness. We could add a similar parameter to the template, however since MkLeo is currently the only player who doesn't play his offline main in any form online, it's kind of pointless to edit the template for just one player. CookiesCreme 14:53, May 4, 2020 (EDT)
- Really? Are you sure there aren't other Smashers who use different characters in Wi-Fi? SonDaniel (talk page) 15:00, May 4, 2020 (EDT)

Character introductions[edit]
Hey, I've noticed you wrote several character introductions for the Ultimate sections, and I just want to nudge you on some stuff real quick.
- First, the introductions should be more so a summary of the character's strengths and weaknesses that shape how the character plays. It shouldn't list every strength or weakness the character has, as that's the attributes section's job.
- Second, the wiki has been working on removing information on character matchups, as was also discussed on Discord. Unless it's something very egregious, I'd say avoid listing specific characters that a character is strong or weak against.
- Finally, in terms of competitive representation, a character's best players should be listed in the intro, and not a list of notable players that a character has; that should be saved for the "most historically significant players" section.
Most of what you have down is fine, but these are things I'd say pay attention to when writing intros. They don't need to be long; they just need to summarize how the character is in the game. CookiesCreme 13:25, August 1, 2023 (EDT)
