Nickel City Smash, or NCS, refers to tournaments run by tournament organizer and player Chirka. While the frequency of events has slowed, tournaments for Ultimate, Melee and recently Guilty Gear: Strive are held bi-annually. In the past, Nickel City Smash ran Project M, and Project+ brackets at their events with a healthy turnout. Nickel City Smash is the largest regional tournament in Northern Ontario and typically features players from Sudbury, Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins, and North Bay.
