Hand Slap is Donkey Kong's Down B move. When performing it, Donkey Kong delivers an earth-shaking blow to the ground, sending nearby enemies skyward. Because of its considerable power, consistent and repetitive damage, and large hitbox, the move is often used against CPU Teams to clear them out with little trouble. In recent hands-on gamplay, this move can hold enemies in place while it is in action. It is unknown if they will be able to release themselves.

An interesting note is that as long as you keep pressing B after a hand slap, you do not have to hold down for it to continue.

Origin

In the Donkey Kong Country series Donkey Kong was able to do this move, it was rarely used but was done the same way, by holding down and pressing attack.

Infinite Handslap Combo

The Infinite Handslap Combo is a technique performable only by Donkey Kong. To do it, get both you and your opponent in an area with a flat, low-hanging ceiling (for example, Hyrule Temple). Use Hand Slap repeatedly.
This allows you to rack up damage quickly. However, it can be teched out of. It does not count as a combo by Training Mode's Combo meter since the opponent lands on the ground momentarily.
