Dreamhack Rotterdam 2022, or Dreamhack Rotterdam Smash Championship 2022, is an upcoming Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament being held in Rotterdam, Netherlands on October 14th-16th, 2022. The tournament will be a Gold-tier stop on the Smash World Tour 2022, and the highest-placing non-qualified Melee player will qualify for Smash Summit 14. A minimum prize pool of €5,000 will be dedicated to singles and doubles in both Melee and Ultimate. Semi Pro and Amateur brackets will be held for Melee and Ultimate singles, and various side events will be held.

Ruleset

Super Smash Bros. Melee singles

• Pools are round robin
• 1st and 2nd in each pool advance to the Pro Bracket for Top 64
• 3rd and 4th advance to the Semi Pro Bracket
• Everyone else advances to the Amateur Bracket

Ties in pools will be resolved in the following order:

1. Set count
2. Head-to-head
3. Games won
4. Wins - losses differential
5. Resolve any remaining by head-to-head
6. Play Best of 1 tie-breakers

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate singles

• Pools are double-elimination
• Top 6 in each pool advance to the Pro Bracket for Top 48 (2 to Winners' side, 4 to Losers' side)
• 7th and 9th placers (6 total) advance to the Semi Pro Bracket
• Everyone else advances to the Amateur Bracket

Super Smash Bros. Melee Old School Ruleset

• Each player bans one starter stage for first game, then a random stage is chosen from the remaining four
• Winner after game bans two stages in best of 3, and one stage in best of 5
• All items on low except for these disabled: Maxim Tomato, Heart Container, Super Mushroom, Poison Mushroom, Starman, Cloaking Device
