To make the articles it's included in (which are all lists) look better, can you put <nowiki>{{clear}}</nowiki> at the top of the template? This would mean that the template would have to go immediately above the section header for the track it's about, but it would make lists clearer. The problem at the moment is that the template is longer than most of the sections it's used in, so the list of templates on the right of the page is longer than the list of entries on the left, so the title for the last entry is generally way out of sync with the last template. I hope that makes sense... :/ '''''<span style="font-family:Arial;">[[User:PenguinofDeath|<font color="silver">Penguin</font>]][[User talk:PenguinofDeath|<font color="gray">of</font>]][[Special:Contributions/PenguinofDeath|<font color="silver">Death</font>]]</span>''''' 09:56, 19 October 2011 (EDT)

==Song Title==
Is the Song Title ever different from the Name? :/ Cos it looks kinds weird having a section called "Blahblah Blah", alongside which is a template with "Blahblah Blah" at the top and the first line as "Song Title: Blahblah Blah". People don't need telling three times what a song is called. And would it be possible to integrate the Composition & Arrangements section into the template? I know this means a lot more editing, but I'd be willing to make the edits. :While having the 2nd Song Title isn't really that necessary, I feel it does make the template slightly more balanced. OK, the main reason for it being there is because I was a n00b at making infoboxes (that's why the 'location' part got left in, as the infobox was based upon the stages version), but without an image to fit in, I think the Song Title holds the infobox up a bit more. I'll let you decide on that one. As for Composition & Arrangements, I say leave as it is, because merging that section into the infobox might make the infobox too big, and the main body too small. == Add an "Arrangement origin" parameter. ==
When you look at music lists on wiki, especially very long ones like the one for ''Mario'' in ''Ultimate'', it's hard to tell at a glance which tracks were ''Smash'' remixes and from which ''Smash'' game they came from. An arrangement origin parameter would help a lot with making music lists easier to consult.--[[User:Rdrfc|Rdrfc]] ([[User talk:Rdrfc|talk]]) 04:45, March 16, 2021 (EDT)

I don't think we'll have song articles, and a lot of stuff (Tournament legal, NIWA links, crate type) isn't needed. I assume you used copy paste? Blindcolours FALCON... 19:37, 2 October 2011 (EDT)

Tournament legal? I understand NIWA links though. Mr. AnonMatchupUnknown.pngtalk 19:48, 2 October 2011 (EDT)

All the stuff like Crate type is there because I copy/pasted the stages infobox, and was in the process of adding sections to here, when I had to be rushed home. I'll sort it out shortly.

Also @BlindColours On IRC, Me, Omega Tyrant, ReiDemon, PSIWolf and Dr. Pain 99 all agreed the current music article doesn't give nearly enough informations, so I'm going to make articles such as List of SSBB Music (Mario series) featuring details on the music such as arrangements/composers, infobox and origin. I plan to start work on these articles very soon. ToastUltimatum Transparent Swadloon.pngComplaints Box 06:12, 4 October 2011 (EDT)

Now that you've cleaned it up, I looks great! I Support. BlindColours FALCON... 17:26, 4 October 2011 (EDT)
Uh, when did I say I agreed? Good work though. Why isn't this a normal template, by the way?--WolfHeadSSBB.png PSIWolf (TCE) 12:21, 9 October 2011 (EDT)

Clear[edit]

To make the articles it's included in (which are all lists) look better, can you put {{clr}} at the top of the template? This would mean that the template would have to go immediately above the section header for the track it's about, but it would make lists clearer. The problem at the moment is that the template is longer than most of the sections it's used in, so the list of templates on the right of the page is longer than the list of entries on the left, so the title for the last entry is generally way out of sync with the last template. I hope that makes sense... :/ PenguinofDeath 09:56, 19 October 2011 (EDT)

Don't worry, I know what you mean. I was wondering if there was anything that could do that. Either you can do it now, or I'll be able to do it later, I'm afraid this iPad will have the same editing problem as 3DS (not being able to load the full text and deleting what it can't display.) ToastUltimatum Transparent Swadloon.pngComplaints Box 12:08, 19 October 2011 (EDT)
I've added a {{clr}} at the top, but it doesn't seem to have done anything to the other articles, so I could do for you to have a look at it. ToastUltimatum Transparent Swadloon.pngComplaints Box 13:27, 19 October 2011 (EDT)

Song Title[edit]

Is the Song Title ever different from the Name? :/ Cos it looks kinds weird having a section called "Blahblah Blah", alongside which is a template with "Blahblah Blah" at the top and the first line as "Song Title: Blahblah Blah". People don't need telling three times what a song is called. And would it be possible to integrate the Composition & Arrangements section into the template? I know this means a lot more editing, but I'd be willing to make the edits. PenguinofDeath 09:32, 21 October 2011 (EDT)

While having the 2nd Song Title isn't really that necessary, I feel it does make the template slightly more balanced. OK, the main reason for it being there is because I was a n00b at making infoboxes (that's why the 'location' part got left in, as the infobox was based upon the stages version), but without an image to fit in, I think the Song Title holds the infobox up a bit more. Two things[edit]

  1. I noticed the Animal Crossing music page had some Japanese track titles included, but these aren't consistently included. Would it be a good idea to include the Japanese names of tracks in a new row of the infobox?
  2. Why are the infoboxes aligned next to (and code-wise, above) the headers instead of beneath them? It's frustratingly roundabout when they are not in the same section to edit as the text about the same track. I'd argue these should be moved to immediately beneath the related headers. Add an "Arrangement origin" parameter.[edit]

When you look at music lists on wiki, especially very long ones like the one for Mario in Ultimate, it's hard to tell at a glance which tracks were Smash remixes and from which Smash game they came from.
