Cyan Can is a smasher from Arkansas who mains Luigi in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Luigi Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. However, most of his reputation comes from Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Cyan Can took a set off of Aerolink at Mid-South Championships, and has several regional results overall. His biggest achievement is taking over a whole tournament over the region of St. Louis and winning $1,000. Cyan Can also has arguably the best results of any doubles player in Arkansas in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U overall. Typically, Cyan Can is known to be a very emotional player in many ways. He also has varying opinions compared to the rest of the community. Cyan Can was ranked on all SSB4 Central Arkansas and Statewide Arkansas Power Rankings within the top 6. Some lesser known but still relevant facts are that Cyan has results maining Kirby in Smash 64, mostly in the region of Memphis, where he was PR'd in the top 5 for a brief period, and Cyan Can was PR'd in Arkansas for a short time in Project M maining Luigi. Recently, Cyan Can has ranked 2nd on the Arkansas Melee 2022 April- August Rollback PR dual maining Luigi and Dr. Mario. He also qualified for the first Beyond Melee invitational.
Controversy
In February 2019, Cyan Can was formally banned from tournaments in the Ultimate Arkansas Smash community due to disruptive and potentially dangerous behavior. During his local ban, he has only competed in a single regional, GDEX Underworld located in Ohio, in which he placed 7th in singles and 3rd in doubles. It should be noted that other Smash Bros communities (such as the local Super Smash Bros. Melee community) have not had problems with Cyan Can competing at events. Cyan Can participated in some locals in 2021, but was omitted from a PR in which he would've made top 10. A discussion soon afterward lead to him feeling uncomfortable competing and making a retirement post to force himself away from the community, as since coming back to events he had shown no evident problems. He didn't compete 6 months due to this circumstance.
