The Japanese version of the original ''Tekken'' was released on Septemper 21, 1994, but Kazuya's debut date is from the worldwide release of the game. What should we do? [[User:Juju1995|Juju1995]] ([[User talk:Juju1995|talk]]) 10:11, July 27, 2022 (EDT)
:There appears to be two conflicting sources of information. Wikipedia notes Tekken's JP arcade release as September 21, 1994, citing the [https://cocatalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwebrecon.cgi?v1=19&ti=1,19&Search%5FArg=Tekken&Search%5FCode=TALL&CNT=25&PID=4jbTS0Is57hKwNoxQ9c-OrGq&SEQ=20220727110535&SID=2 United States Copyright Office] (weird for the Japanese copy of a Japanese arcade game, but whatever), and the international release as December 1994; the Tekken Wiki notes Tekken's JP arcade release as December 9, 1994, and the international release as May 12, 1995. There has to be something hidden in the depths of the internet that's flying under our (and potentially Wikipedia's) radar, because I highly doubt Smash is following information from a fanmade wiki about Tekken instead of Bandai Namco themselves. Chronological Order[edit]

It seems that the All-Star Order in Brawl Seems to be going in the Chronological order of the series that the characters were released. If there is any confirmation on this, we could add it.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Chrono D. (talkcontribs)

Its says so on the dojo JtM =^] (talk) 05:44, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

First, sign your comments. Second, Sakurai confirmed this a long time ago (around April) here. And third, the order is for the Japanese releases; at least that's what Sakurai says. MarioGalaxyTalk 05:48, 22 December 2008 (UTC)

Why[edit]

does this need images? it looks fine to me. 25T16File:HitboxEffect(Flame).png|20pxIt’s a me! 19:44, 24 September 2011 (EDT)

Yes it does. Blindcolours TONDA GOSSA. 19:47, 24 September 2011 (EDT)
What other images will we need? I think having images of the All Star rest area is enough. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 21:24, 24 September 2011 (EDT)
I think the problem is that the images given aren't large enough. re's the data; Mr. AnonMatchupUnknown.pngtalk 22:12, 24 September 2011 (EDT)
The Brawl image could be larger, but replacing it isn't a necessity, and the Melee image is of high enough quality. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 22:56, 24 September 2011 (EDT)
I guess you are correct there. Mr. AnonMatchupUnknown.pngtalk 23:00, 24 September 2011 (EDT)

WarioWare[edit]

Just so you know, on the official website of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Sakurai stated that Wario's appearance in All-Star mode is based on his first main appearance in Wario Land 3. I think that should be stated.--Ma321 (talk) 11:49, 1 August 2014 (EDT)

New All-Star Mode[edit]

Since Sakurai has confirmed that Smash 3DS would feature in chronological order of their first appearance, we could actually try to "predict" the final results of this and then edit it if it is disconfirmed in the final product. I'll try my hand at the beginning of it, though : (My version also uses the characters from previous Smash games, just in case)

I doubt we'll be allowed to add it until there's official confirmation. Sometimes there are errors like that... ...a new NuttaNutta's Mallo sig.pngis approaching... 12:39, 2 September 2014 (EDT)

Stages in the 3DS All-Star Mode[edit]

I've been watching every video I can find of All-Star Mode playthroughs, and I've put together a list of which stages I've seen.

  • Stage 1 - Jungle Japes, Boxing Ring, Flat Zone 2 (I've also been told that Pac-Maze appears, but I haven't seen it myself)
  • Stage 2 - Golden Plains, Mushroomy Kingdom, Gerudo Valley, Brinstar
  • Stage 3 - Yoshi's Island, Mute City, Reset Bomb Forest, Wily Castle
  • Stage 4 - Dream Land, Corneria, WarioWare, Inc., Green Hill Zone
  • Stage 5 - Spirit Train, Unova Pokemon League, Magicant
  • Stage 6 - 3D Land, Distant Planet, Tortimer Island
  • Stage 7 - Rainbow Road, Prism Tower, Arena Ferox, Gaur Plain

Has anyone seen any others and can we add these to the page? 68.9.236.113 02:21, 18 September 2014 (EDT)

Little Mac always a wireframe?[edit]

In every video I've seen so far Little Mac has been a wire frame when challenging All Star mode. Can anyone confirm? Guybrush20X6 (talk) 19:25, 21 September 2014 (EDT)

Exclusive stage modifications[edit]

So I've noticed that there are some stages that behave differently only in All-Star Mode in SSB4-3DS, different to both the standard and Omega forms (even with items off). There are probably more, but here's what I've noticed:

--SnorlaxMonster 06:39, 31 October 2014 (EDT)

Oh, and apparently Magicant and WarioWare, Inc. also have this behavior when unlocking a character (the other two aren't used when unlocking characters). --SnorlaxMonster 01:56, 10 November 2014 (EST)
From what I've seen the Duck Hunt Stage in WiiU acts the same with the ducks and shooting removed when unlocking the character. Guybrush20X6 (talk) 07:01, 10 November 2014 (EST)

Wii U Version Image[edit]

I noticed in the things to do that this page needs a image showing the wii u version of the rest area.... i found one but since im so new i cant add it unfortunately. Would someone be so kind as to insert it for me? click the [1] to see image --Riddleguy (talk) 20:47, 3 November 2014 (EST)

A checkmark symbol, for places like yes/no columns on tables.
Done.

Swap[edit]

Is there a way we can make it so you can filp the grid and cause the levels to flip for wii u version order?Ma321 (talk) 09:43, 10 November 2014 (EST)

I think that should do the trick. Miles (talk) 09:57, 10 November 2014 (EST)
Nope, doesn't All-Star also reverse the characters in the Wii U version? (i.e. Greninja > Lucina > Robin > Dark Pit etc.) How could we do that on a table? Laikue (talk | contribs) 10:20, 10 November 2014 (EST)
Doing that would require a second table. Not inherently a bad thing, but we can't sort that nicely in one table. Miles (talk) 13:24, 10 November 2014 (EST)

Assist Trophies[edit]

So, by finding the Japanese direct, I noticed that Sakurai himself also mentions the Assist Trophies figuring in to All-Star. In spite of knowing little Japanese, my assumption based on this is that it was a cut feature, but I want to hear what the direct translation is from someone who happens to speak the language. Anyone here who fits in that category? AidanzapunkSig1.pngAidan, the Thankful Dragon WarriorAidanzapunkSig2.png 16:53, 13 November 2016 (EST)

While I'm not a Japanese-speaker, I believe the confusion stems from "all-star" as a general term versus "All-Star" as the name of a mode. Sakurai saying something to the effect of "Assist Figures are part of the all-stars in the game" could easily be mistaken for "Assist Trophies are part of the All-Star Mode". Miles (talk) 19:17, 13 November 2016 (EST)

Damage multipliers[edit]

Here I have the damage multipliers for each stage in All-Star-Mode for the Wii U, but I'm not sure how to put it into the page, and which formatting to use. Any ideas?

Stage Damage Multiplier
1 2.6x
2 2.6x
3 2.655x
4 2.8x
5 2.4x
6 2.8x
7 2.8x
Stage 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
Damage Multiplier 2.6x 2.6x 2.655x 2.8x 2.4x 2.8x 2.8x

Banjo and Kazooie's separate debut dates[edit]

Once Banjo and Kazooie are released, do we have to put in separate Japanese debut dates for the duo? Like Banjo debuted before Kazooie. Juju1995 (talk) 13:21, August 3, 2019 (EDT)

Since they're one entity in Smash, they'll probably both be grouped by the proper release date of Banjo-Kazooie rather than Banjo's debut in Diddy Kong Racing. ~ Serena Strawberry (talk) 13:48, August 3, 2019 (EDT)

Kazuya's debut date[edit]

The Japanese version of the original Tekken was released on Septemper 21, 1994, but Kazuya's debut date is from the worldwide release of the game. What should we do? Juju1995 (talk) 10:11, July 27, 2022 (EDT)

There appears to be two conflicting sources of information. Wikipedia notes Tekken's JP arcade release as September 21, 1994, citing the United States Copyright Office (weird for the Japanese copy of a Japanese arcade game, but whatever), and the international release as December 1994; the Tekken Wiki notes Tekken's JP arcade release as December 9, 1994, and the international release as May 12, 1995. There has to be something hidden in the depths of the internet that's flying under our (and potentially Wikipedia's) radar, because I highly doubt Smash is following information from a fanmade wiki about Tekken instead of Bandai Namco themselves. Aidan, the Rurouni 11:10, July 27, 2022 (EDT)
Tekken's official JP site lists the arcade release as December 1994 and PlayStation release as March 1995 (specifically March 31st). The Wikipedia page for Namco System 11 (the hardware Tekken was developed for) that was released in September 1994 cites GamePro issue 068 page 38 for the 1994 release of Tekken, though it only explicitly mentions Q1 1995 for the PS release, it also says "arcade gamers have already seen Tekken", so in arcades before Q1 1995. Old archives of one of the English Tekken sites and the Japanese site lists a 20th anniversary event for December 2014, 20 years ago would be December 1994. I think Dec 1994 is much more likely than Sept 1994. --CanvasK (talk) 12:36, July 27, 2022 (EDT)
