Trivia
- This is the first North American major in Smash history with no players from the United States in Top 8.
- This is the first major Melee tournament won by Leffen using a combination of Fox and Sheik.
- With his win, Leffen also became the first person to win multiple iterations of BOBC, as he had originally won the very first Battle of BC.
- Within Melee pools, Zain (Naghmi) fought against another Zain (Jelani) in bracket, which was humorously brought to attention on social media afterwards. Although Naghmi expectedly cut Jelani's Melee run short, Jelani ended up making Top 64 in the Ultimate bracket afterwards.
- This tournament marks KEN's first North American Ultimate major win, as well as the first Ultimate major win for Sephiroth.
- KEN's win being accompanied by his prominent usage of Sephiroth in Top 8 spawned jokes that he was the second coming of SephirothKen, Ken's original tag.
