In Super Smash Bros. every character had three special moves while in Melee and Brawl every character has four. Every character has unique special moves, although Clone characters such as Falco have special moves with only minor differences from other characters. The Neutral B, Up B, Down B, and Side B attacks are special moves. Keep in mind though that B won't necessarily be the special move button in Brawl due to controller scheme variations.
