Due to these characters being each others' semi-clones that are paired together by a swapping mechanic in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, there are many situations in which players will often collectively refer to them, such as in tier list or matchup discussions. "(The) Aegis" is their title in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, while "Pythra" is a portmanteau of their names.
