The Mario Bros. team is a special team that consists of Mario and Luigi that appears in both Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Brothers Melee.
In Super Smash Brothers, the Mario Bros. team is the only computer player team that appears in single player mode. The team consists of Mario and Luigi and are battled on Peach's Castle. The player and a random character must defeat both Mario and Luigi in order to procede to the next stage. The Mario Bros. team also appears in Super Smash Brothers Melee in Adventure Mode. The player fights Metal Mario and Metal Luigi instead of their regular forms. If the player manages to defeat both brothers, they will be reward the Mario Bros. KO bonus. The Mario Bros. team does not appear as a team in Classic Mode since the team battles are chosen at random.
