Touhou Project (東方Project, Touhou Project) is a series of bullet hell shoot 'em up games created nearly singlehandedly by a single creator, ZUN. The series primarily focuses on Reimu Hakurei, the miko of Hakurei Shrine who is often tasked with resolving supernatural incidents caused in and around the sealed land called Gensokyo. It is notably popular as a source of dōjin content, with the series spawning a vast body of fan-made works; the long-running series can reasonably be considered one of the most popular among Japanese-developed indie games.
