As Gale Stab in ''Ultimate'', the move's animation is changed from a sword swipe to a lunging stab. Compared to its previous counterpart, it now starts faster and deals more damage at full charge, though it now slows down towards its conclusion, and has been deprived of its ability to sweetspot ledges after hitting an opponent. Gale Stab (疾風突き), known as Slash Launcher (ランチャースラッシュ, Launcher Slash) and Surging Slash in the NTSC and PAL versions of Super Smash Bros. 4 respectively, is one of three side special moves for the Mii Swordfighter.

Overview

When used, the Mii begins charging. Once the move is released, the Swordfighter lunges forward, striking any enemies they happen to collide with. The move is very similar to Ike's custom move Close Combat.

As Gale Stab in Ultimate, the move's animation is changed from a sword swipe to a lunging stab. Compared to its previous counterpart, it now starts faster and deals more damage at full charge, though it now slows down towards its conclusion.
