User | Kazuya |
Universe | Tekken |
The Rage Drive is a special move accessible to Kazuya when he is under the effects of Rage.
Rage
Kazuya has access to a special ability called Rage (not to be confused with the universal rage mechanic). It will activate once Kazuya has sustained 100% damage or is at 25% of his maximum health in Stamina mode. During this state he will be surrounded by a red aura, while the name next to the damage meter will glow red. Rage will power up all of Kazuya's attacks by ×1.1 so long as it is active; it does not have a time limit, but will expire from a combination of damage taken by Kazuya and grabs missed by him; successfully performing a Rage Drive will also deplete Rage. Being healed under the Rage threshold however won't remove the status.
The formula for the depletion of Rage is (Number of missed grabs or down specials × 110) + (Damage taken during Rage × 17.6) ≥ 650
.

Rage Drive
When under the effects of Rage, Kazuya can use his Rage Drive. In effect, it is a more powerful variation of Heaven's Door, which will fittingly trigger Special Zoom. During the Rage state, all of Kazuya's grabs will automatically turn into his Rage Drive, including Gates of Hell. It is possible to perform a command input version of the Rage Drive, with → ↓ ↘ + holding the attack button (normally, this would perform a Dragon Uppercut instead). The command input version is significantly stronger than a normal Rage Drive, and can be inputted out of a Crouch Dash; as such, it serves as a powerful approach tool.
Origin
Rage was introduced in Tekken 6.
Rage Drives were introduced in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution.
