: Phanna's [[All Characters Match-Up Chart]] gives Luigi 4 against Fox and Falco, 2 against Sheik and 3 against Marth. Luigi's best even matches are against the Ice Climbers and Jigglypuff. And Luigi doesn't have any advantageous matches at all above Bowser. So according to phanna / some Smashboarders at least, Luigi doesn't counter anybody at all, least of all the space animals. He can survive against them - 4 is a pretty weak disadvantage - but I think it's better to stay away from making hard decisions on controversial matches in the first place.
