The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Shock Spring Jump (ショックジャンプ, Shock Jump) is Kazooie's up special move.
Overview
The move involves Kazooie using a Shock Spring Pad to launch herself into the air, able to act afterwards. The pad can then fall on opponents for minor damage. The move can be charged to delay its launch with a slight increase in distance. After using the move, Kazooie retains all double jumps and all her other special moves, similarly to Sonic and Mega Man; however, unlike with other similar up special moves, the Shock Spring Pad disappears if touched when on the ground instead of being reusable.

Origin
The Shock Spring Jump is a move taught to Kazooie by Bottles in Treasure Trove Cove of Kazooie. It allows her to execute a super jump from green Shock Spring Pads for navigation of certain areas. The move consists of Kazooie jumping, landing and building up power, and finally launching into the air based on how long the jump button is held, with the final launch being the highest jump in the game. Some Shock Spring Pads need to be created before use or are hidden out of sight, so it is not necessarily obvious that a high cliff can be scaled.
The move returns mostly unchanged in Tooie (Kazooie now leaps significantly higher), though the pad has undergone a slight redesign with its gold border changed to black. However, the height of this jump is now outclassed by the new Springy Step Shoes, another limited jump ability.
The move also returns in Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, though Kazooie performs the jump immediately, mirroring how it is done in Smash Bros.
