Giga Mac Rush (ギガ・マックラッシュ, Giga Mac Rush) is Little Mac's Final Smash in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Overview

The move involves Little Mac transforming into Giga Mac, immediately followed by a rush forward that, if successfully landed, leads to a series of rapid punches that traps and launches the opponent before the Final Smash ends, similar to Jungle Rush, Donkey Kong's new Final Smash, albeit with slightly less knockback to compensate for the added range potential. The Ultimate version of Giga Mac joins all former "transformed moveset" Final Smashes (such as Giga Bowser and Wario-Man) in losing its player-controlled moveset in favor of a quick attack that returns players more promptly to normal gameplay.

Instructional quote

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Move List Little Mac (SSBU) Little Mac transforms into Giga Mac and charges forward. If he strikes an opponent, he unleashes a flurry of punches, finishing with a powerful uppercut. If the initial blow misses, he transforms back into Little Mac.

Origin

Giga Mac art from Punch-Out!! (Wii)

In the two-player mode of Punch-Out!! for the Wii, both players control a Little Mac; either can turn into Giga Mac after punching the opponent enough times in a certain area. If they do, the game then shifts from two evenly-matched Little Macs fighting in split-screen to gameplay resembling the single-player mode, with Little Mac fighting a larger and slower Mac. The player controlling Giga Mac gains slower but stronger attacks, in addition to a taunt.
