Lightweight (軽量化, Lighten) is one of Palutena's alternate down special moves in Super Smash Bros. 4.
Overview
Once Lightweight is activated, Palutena's movement speed and jumping abilities are increased for 12 seconds, at the cost of receiving 1.1× more damage. When Lightweight's effect ends, Palutena's ground and air movement speed are reduced to half their normal value for 5 seconds. After this, another 5 seconds must pass (10 seconds total) before the move can be used again. This is arguably her best custom move as it improves her recovery and her air, ground, and combo game. With Lightweight active, Palutena has the third highest jump height (surpassed only by Greninja and Falco), the fastest walk speed, and the second fastest dash (surpassed only by Sonic and Wario-Man).

Origin
Lightweight is a stat-based power that Pit or a fighter can wield in Kid Icarus: Uprising. This power increases the user's speed and prevents them from tiring out, but at the cost of reduced defenses.
