- On the official EVO twitter account, there was an announcement that EVO will be hosting an event known as EVO Online, following the cancellation of EVO 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While most of the primary line-up remains intact, the only game that was excluded from the line-up, therefore meaning its tournament was cancelled, was Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

- At CEO Dreamland 2020, Samsora, Kola, and ZD take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles; MVD, D2da, and Evilgoku take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U singles; Player-1, Mikeray4, and Gunnermaniac take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Brawl singles; Hungrybox, Colbol, and n0ne take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Melee singles; epad10 takes 1st place in Smash 64 singles. Marss & Kuro take Ultimate doubles; Hungrybox & mayb take Melee doubles.
