The Yoshi Team in the 1-Player mode of Super Smash Bros. is made up of 18 multi-colored Yoshis. They are the second opponent(s) the player faces, after Link. The Yoshies rarely attack and are very weak and will die to almost any attack. They tend to jump in random directions, often off the edge. Killing them in the order they fall yields the Yoshi Rainbow bonus.
The Yoshi Team also makes an appearance in SSBM in the Mushroom Kingdom Adventure level. They function almost identically to the original Yoshi Team.
