- At Glitch 8 - Missingno, Tweek, Dark Wizzy, and ESAM take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place respectively in Ultimate singles. ESAM & MVD take Ultimate doubles.

- Byleth is announced as the next DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, scheduled for release on January 28th. Additionally, a second Fighters Pass is announced, consisting of six fighters to be released by December 31st, 2021.

- A Super Smash Bros. Ultimate livestream is announced for January 16 at 6:00 A.M. PST via the Nintendo Versus Twitter.
