Event 40: All-Star Match 4 is the fortieth Event Match, and the fourth of five All-Star Matches. The All-Star Match gameplay is unchanged; like its predecessors, you must defeat five different opponents in 4 minutes and with 2 stock. Your damage percentage is carried over between each match.
In this edition, you fight Marth in Temple (with Fire Emblem alternate music), Luigi in Kingdom II, Jigglypuff in Poke Floats, Mewtwo in Final Destination, and Mr. Game & Watch in Flat Zone. It should be noted that this is the first All-Star Match with unlockable characters.
