Revision as of 16:20, November 29, 2019
The Administrators' noticeboard is intended to be a page to quickly alert the administrators to issues that need their attention.
To make a request or statement, create a new section and provide a neutral, precise summary of events with thought-out reasoning, and, if possible, links to any pages with relevant discussions. It is also a good idea to notify any users involved with the request with a link to the section on this page. Make sure to add new sections to the bottom.
Report vandals and sockpuppets at the top of the appropriate section labeled for such reports using {{IP|Username}}, where Username is the name of the user or the IP vandal's IP address.
For reporting similar and unacceptable usernames, report them here instead of on this page. This is done to keep the reports in one place, and because unacceptable usernames can be more subjective (unlike vandal/spam accounts), which may necessitate discussion (which the linked page will be more suited to handle).
Vandal/Spam account reports

182.251.101.27 (talk · contribs · logs · block user · block log · WHOIS) Somewhat vandalized Marth (SSBU). Zakawer2 (talk) 18:18, November 17, 2019 (EST)
- His edits aren't necessarily vandalism. For his first edit, it seemed like he was being too optimistic about his character, while the second one may be a simple mistake/misinterpretation (or, in Trainer Alex's explanation, more accurate). CookiesCreme 18:22, November 17, 2019 (EST)
- Yeah, it seems to me more like they're a fan of the character. Both versions of the victory quote are accurate, as the ending particle "da ne" can both be a question and an affirmative statement (it simply adds emphasis to the preceding statement, like "right!" or "isn't it?"). Nothing to worry about, either way. ~ Serena Strawberry (talk) 18:36, November 17, 2019 (EST)
- The person I asked pointed out the exact same thing. He translated it as "I win this time", and when I asked him if it would work as a question, this is what he had to say: "ね at the end asks the listener for confirmation. It could also be seen as 'I win this time, right?' but it's not quite that direct". It would appear as though the initial attempt at translating was taking that part too literally. Alex the Jigglypuff trainer 18:44, November 17, 2019 (EST)
- Either way, this is not a proper vandal. Carry on, everyone. Aidan, the Rurouni 18:47, November 17, 2019 (EST)

This anonymous user completely rejected my proposal to restore an earlier revision of the page on Peach's side special, and like 93.108.71.31, the fact that this user has only targeted a Daisy-related page seems to suggest that both of them might be sockpuppets of the banned Memoryman3. 93.108.71.31 (talk · contribs · logs · block user · block log · WHOIS) Possible Memoryman3 sockpuppet. Both of the anonymous user's edits have directly undone my changes to the pages on Peach's side and up specials. Zakawer2 (talk) 07:58, October 7, 2019 (EDT)
- Or they could have simply undone it to restore unexplained removal of information about Daisy. The pages apply to both Peach and Daisy's specials, not just Peach alone, you don't see Fireball's page that way. SupαToαd64, the Best 08:18, October 7, 2019 (EDT)
- Yeah, but not only do Daisy's side and up specials have different names, but they also function exactly the same. Other cloned special moves with different names, such as Warlock Punch or Megavitamin, have functional differences, while Fireball (the example you listed) shares the exact same name, but functions differently. Daisy has so far only appeared in Ultimate, so the information on her side and up specials can be covered entirely in the Ultimate section since they function exactly the same. Zakawer2 (talk) 09:28, October 7, 2019 (EDT)
- I see your point. But still a big change like that should have had a discussion first, or at least an edit summary explaining why the change was made. With the exeption of obvious vandalism these changes should always have an edit summary. As for this sockpuppet report it looks like a streach, as they could have just been adding the information back in because it was never explained why it was removed. Remember the rule is to assume good faith. SupαToαd64, the Best 09:55, October 7, 2019 (EDT)

- I came here to repport the very same IP. They insist on rewritting sentences everywhere, with their awful writing, and without any summary. A while ago, they decided to copy a trivia point from the Classic mode page to the Adventure mode page (the point about Miis not being playable despite being in the banner), making it a factually wrong statement about Miis being exclusively playable in Adventure mode. I removed it back then, and a few days ago, the exact same broken trivia point poped back on the same page from the same IP. YoshiRyu (talk) 06:10, November 9, 2019 (EST)

- Doing some research, it seems likely that this particular IP has been at this since 2015 (four years?!) and hasn't been caught primarily because their address keeps shifting around. The earliest edit I can currently find that matches the symptoms is from October of 2015 (here) compared to a more recent edit of the exact same mannerisms in August of this year (here, by an IP that's already reported on this page).
