There is an unused string of text in mu_menumain.pac referring to switching the language between English and Japanese in Brawl. Is this considered noteworthy? 129.32.224.99 01:36, 29 March 2016 (EDT)
Language in Ultimate[edit]
When Ultimate comes out, there are two distinct things to test: (a) are there still separate languages for NA vs. EU English, Spanish, and French, and (b) if so, have certain things been more standardized between the regional versions? Basically we need to check things like the Help/Tips to really see if the localizations are different (color vs. colour is an easy one for English). I have a feeling that even if there are still separate regional localizations, they may have standardized things like character names and Boxing Ring titles due to the simultaneous, worldwide nature of Ultimate's release, plus the fact that anyone in any region can select any language.
Note: If there are separate regional languages, it may be possible to change between e.g. en_US and en_UK by changing the Switch's system region to Europe. If not, then we'll need people in both NA and EU to test. SuperFalconBros (talk) 18:42, 5 November 2018 (EST)
Palutena's localised name[edit]
"Palutena is a unique case in French localizations; her name only differs in the addition of an acute accent, but it is treated as an alternate name on her NTSC amiibo packaging."
But it is a different spelling. E and É are visually different letters. So how is it odd that the localised name shows up on the package? Liggliluff (talk) 17:52, July 29, 2019 (EDT)
