A frame, one sixtieth of a second, is a unit of time in Super Smash Bros. Melee.  All events, actions and movements in Melee occur in increments of frames.
A frame is a unit of time in video games. The length of a frame depends on the number of hertz the game is set to; since Melee is normally set to 60hZ, a frame is one sixtieth of a second.  All events, actions and movements in Melee occur in increments of frames.
