The '''Target Test''' is a mini-game located under Stadium in the 1-P mode. In this mini-game you smash ten targets within 2:00 minutes as fast as you can. Every Character has their own layout of the targets and surrounding ground, platforms, walls, ect. The goal of this mini-game is to break all of the targets the fastest possible. There is a High Score recorded with the lowest time of each character and if you broke less than ten targets, it records the amount of targets broken. There is also Total high Score that is a record of all the characters High Scores added together.

Target Test (known as Break the Targets in SSB) is a mini-game appearing in both Super Smash Bros. and Super Smash Bros. Melee. The goal of the game is to break 10 targets as quickly as possible. Each character has a unique layout of targets and surrounding ground, platforms, walls, etc.

The game records the lowest time taken to break all ten targets. If a character has never broken all the targets, the game will also record how many targets were broken in that time. There is also a total time that is kept that includes the cumulative time taken to clear every character's stage. The total time only appears after all characters have cleared their stage.
