An up aerial (abbreviated "uair") is an aerial attack that is performed by pressing the A button and up on the control stick. An up aerial can also be performed by pressing the C-stick upwards while airborne. Some find using the C-stick more advantageous because it frees up the control stick, which can then be used for Directional Influencing.
