The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Overview
Sheik is a character in SSBM. She transforms from Zelda by using Down+B (Transform), and can transform back into Zelda at any time. By holding A at the start of a match (hold it when hitting start from the Stage Selection screen or from the Character Selection screen if stage is set to Random), you'll automatically transform into Sheik at the start of a match.
Unbeknownst to many, Sheik is only a disguise used by Zelda in the Ocarina of Time, and is not in any way a different person. She merely uses magic to change her skin and hair color and hide her dominant features.
Pros & Cons
Pros
- Fast and agile
- Quick, comprehensive close game
- Great at comboing
- Needles compliment her already strong close game
- Great tilt attacks, probably the best in the game
- Downthrow (against some characters an effective chain grab) can launch into further combos against almost every character in the NTSC cast
- Amazing edgeguarding ability
- Can wall jump
- Her Fair move is one of the best finishers in the game because it can be put in almost every combo and DI doesn't help significantly surviving the hit.
- 3rd jump is very versitile due to the teleportation effect, afterburn, and the false 4th jump making it easy to avoid projectiles by riding underneath the level and grabbing the edge easily avoiding attack.
Cons
- Easily juggled/comboed
- Has a very high short hop, slowing her shffl' significantly.
- Cannot dash-dance effectively
- Laggy land after using her up B
Is VERY hard to use(Harder then Falco by FAR)
