Revenge (リベンジ Revenge) is Incineroar's down special move in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Overview

Revenge is a counterattack. Unlike most counterattacks, Incineroar still takes damage, albeit at a reduced rate than normal, and the initial counterattack from Revenge is not particularly powerful. However, successfully countering a hit with Revenge uniquely powers up Incineroar's next move; as a visual indicator, Incineroar will emit a bright orange glow. The power-up goes away either from a period of time passing or by taking too much damage before using it. When buffed, Incineroar's smash attacks get a zoom effect much like other powerful attacks.

Origin

Revenge is a physical Fighting-type move introduced in Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire. It has 60 base power, which is doubled if the user takes damage before attacking. Incineroar can only learn it by Breeding.

Trivia

  • Despite only being a Fighting-type attack, the initial counterhit from Revenge deals flame damage.
