Greninja (ゲッコウガ, Gekkouga) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It was confirmed on June 12th, 2018.
Changes from Super Smash Bros. 4
Aesthetics
- As with all veterans returning from SSB4, Greninja's model features a slightly more subdued color scheme. Its model and textures otherwise appear unchanged.
- As with most fighters, Greninja's attacks have enhanced particle effects.
Special moves
- Water Shuriken is much smaller when fully charged.
- Shadow Sneak has a new animation when used. The attacking part of the move is a forward kick instead. Additionally, the shadow's "eyes" flash when Greninja teleports.
- Substitute has more vibrant particles when activated.
- Substitute activates faster, allowing for an easier hit.
