Greninja (ゲッコウガ, Gekkōga) is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It was confirmed on June 12th, 2018.

Aesthetics
- As with most fighters, Greninja's appearance looks more vibrant and its attacks have enhanced particle effects.
Attributes
- Shadow Sneak has a new animation when used. The attacking part of the move is a forward kick instead. Additionally, the shadow's "eyes" flash when Greninja teleports.
- Water Shuriken is much smaller when fully charged.
- Substitute has more vibrant particles when activated.
Substitute activates faster, allowing for an easier hit.
