Please give it some effort[edit]

What you did for Smasher:Prophet has been deemed a zero-effort article. According to SW:SMASHER, every new Smasher article must contain three things, as detailed as possible:

  1. An info box (Yes To your credit, this was pretty detailed)
  2. A short paragraph summarising the smasher's accomplishments and the smasher themselves (No In fact, you wrote nothing at all)
  3. Tournament results (No)

Articles made with zero-effort usually get deleted quickly. I strongly suggest you add more information while you still can. If it gets deleted before you get to it, however, feel free to make the article again, but make sure you add more information next time. Thank you. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Black Vulpine,

Oh that's definitely my fault, I should have labeled it "work in progress" since I had to stop last night. I'm going to continue working on it today after he gets back to me with some of his info as well. I did not intend to let it sit as a finished product as is.

Cheers, Wulfsun (7:29 A.M; Central Time)

Keep in mind that the talk page of a wiki functions different to how you're used to. Comments on a talk page should be signed by placing four tildes at the end (~~~~). I know it seems weird, but doing so will automatically generate a signature with your name and a time stamp. Get into the habit of doing that, for that will apply across all wikis, not just here. And fair enough, I will add an incomplete flag for now. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the internets go! :3 08:58, 22 January 2018 (EST)

Smasher links[edit]

For future reference, we only link articles once, as any further links to the same article would be redundant. Sometimes exceptions apply with large pages like fighter articles, but we never link a smasher more than once in a results table regardless of length. Alright, is that a general rule of thumb or was it something I should have read before? Either way I apologize for adding the links, I was under the impression that each addition into the results table acted as its own entity rather than a continuous tally which made the hyperlinks make sense in my eyes, but if that's not the case no worries. I guess my main issue is that it makes the results table look incomplete since the consistency is lost with new smashers being linked in seemingly random locations (although that is the first time they appear) which is what prompted me to make the changes. Would there be a way to make it so they didn't appear as just dead text? Wulfsun (talk) 13:44, 20 March 2018 (EDT)

It's just a general rule of thumb we've been following for a long time. I don't think it's actually written on any policy anywhere. To answer your last question, I don't think so without misleading readers. Plus, with how many smasher articles there are, it'd be quite the hassle to make a change like that for something so minor. :/ Disaster Flare Disaster Flare signature image.png (talk) 13:48, 20 March 2018 (EDT)
It's in the Manual of Style, first line in the Internal links section: "Generally, only link to an article once." Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the internets go! :3 19:36, 20 March 2018 (EDT)
