Sales Bunny is a playable character in Super Smash Bros. Dream. He was confirmed on December 19th by DatNuttyKid as the first representative of the Nintendo Badge Arcade.

Attributes

Sales Bunny, like Mr. AR before him, is intended as a comedic character, which is based on his over-the-top personality in Nintendo Badge Arcade. Uniquely, he does not stay still in his character box when selected on the character select screen and during battles, and will react to actions throughout the game using his emotions from Nintendo Badge Arcade and speaking via a speech bubble. A list of his quotes is below:

  • U-Tilt: Sales Bunny waves his arms over his head.

  • D-Smash: Sales Bunny jumps and lands in a sitting position.
  • N-Air: Sales Bunny swings his arm around.
  • F-Air: Sales Bunny curls up and extends his ears forward.

  • U-Air: Sales Bunny flips over, kicking above him. If he lands during this move, it will take him awhile to stand back up.
  • D-Air: Sales Bunny holds his hands as if he were using Link's down aerial, but has nothing in them, and plummets.
  • Grab: Sales Bunny reaches out and grabs an opponent.
    • Pummel: Sales Bunny hits them with his ear.
    • F-Throw: Sales Bunny uses Mario's forward throw, but it doesn't have as much distance.
    • B-Throw: Sales Bunny uses Mario's back throw, but it doesn't have as much distance.
    • U-Throw: Sales Bunny tosses the opponent upward, then jumps and hits them with his head. The headbutt can also damage other opponents.
    • D-Throw: Sales Bunny leaps upward, throwing the opponent down.
  • Floor-F: Sales Bunny swipes with his paw before standing up.
  • Floor-B: Sales Bunny kicks before standing up.
  • Floor-T: Sales Bunny swipes with his paw before standing up.
  • Edge: Sales Bunny jumps up, but slips and kicks as he falls.
  • Neutral Special - Badge Toss: Sales Bunny throws a random badge of a Nintendo character, which bounces twice before falling to the ground, where it can be picked up and used as a throwing item.
    • Custom 1 - Mega Badge: The badges are bigger and do more damage, but only bounce once and can't be picked up later.
    • Custom 2 - Multi-Badge: Sales Bunny throws three badges at once- one to his right, one to his left, and one above him. These bounce three times instead of two, but can't be picked up later and don't do as much damage.
  • Side Special - Flower Town: Sales Bunny pulls out a seed from Flower Town and tosses it. It does 1% damage if it hits anyone and causes them to flinch, but if it hits the ground, a few seconds later it will suddenly sprout into a flower. Anyone standing on it will be launched, but it can also be grabbed and thrown.
    • Custom 1 - Tree Town: The seed can no longer damage opponents, but sprouts as a tree, which has more range and does more damage, but cannot be picked up.
    • Custom 2 - Fruit Town: The seed instead sprouts into a random fruit similar to the ones thrown by Isabelle which can heal anyone who eats it, but does not damage when sprouting.
  • Up Special - Theme Elevator: The theme elevator appears behind Sales Bunny and he climbs into it, being carried up a short distance before stepping out. This move does no damage.
    • Custom 1 - Controllable Elevator: The elevator no longer has a set path, allowing the player to move it with the control stick. However, it does not last very long.
    • Custom 2 - Rocketing Elevator: The elevator goes much quicker and can damage anyone it hits, but doesn't go as high.
  • Down Special - Dig: Sales Bunny dives into a hole based on the ones he can be found in in StreetPass Mii Plaza. If he is on a soft platform, he will helplessly plummet, but otherwise he can move a short distance in either direction before popping out to attack.
    • Custom 1 - Speedy Dig: Sales Bunny automatically moves forwards quickly and jumps out, doing less damage but going much faster.
    • Custom 2 - Midair Dig: Sales Bunny can dig on soft platforms and in midair, but doesn't do damage when he emerges, making it mostly a recovery move.
  • Final Smash - Badge Catcher: Sales Bunny jumps to the foreground and activates a Badge Catcher as all opponents are frozen in place. The player has three tries to catch an opponent with a claw, and they will be dropped offscreen and KO'd. However, if they are underneath a platform, the claw cannot reach them.

Reveal trailer

The trailer opens up with Mario and Samus battling on the Nintendo Badge Arcade. The camera cuts to the back of Sales Bunny's silhouette in the crowd, then back to the battle, then back to his silhouette scaling the side of the arcade, then back to the battle at a different angle (from the back of the arcade), where Sales Bunny's head appears over the edge of the roof, still silhouetted. A speech bubble appears over the silhouette's head saying "Hey!" and Mario and Samus halt their battle to look at him as he climbs up the rest of the way and the light hits him as he pulls out a notebook and a speech bubble appears, reading "Can I have an autograph?" and his introduction tagline appear. Mario and Samus look at each other, then Samus charges her charge shot at him.

The rest of the trailer shows Sales Bunny battling various opponents on various stages to demonstrate his moves, and also shows him commenting on the battles at the bottom of the screen.

Trophies

Sales Bunny
This adorable pink rabbit is the head clerk at the brand-new Nintendo Badge Arcade. His cheerful (albeit strange) personality and eagerness is one of the many reasons he's perfect for this job! He's also a HUGE Nintendo fan and regularly hosts trivia based on their games. The prize? Free plays at the arcade! A similar pinkish-white rabbit also appears in StreetPass Mii Plaza. Could they be the same creature?

Sales Bunny (Alt.)
Sales Bunny uses a variety of attacks based on his job, such as throwing badges and getting a lift from the Theme Elevator. His side special is based on the StreetPass game, Flower Town. If you can get that seed in the ground, it'll sprout a flower, which will launch opponents! You can even pick the flower up and use it like Lip's Stick! Who would've thought that a brilliant clerk also makes a brilliant gardener?
