Ranking this event[edit]
IMO this tournament is a superregional. It has a good amount of Midwest heavy hitters as Jamal said plus some Florida threats but 4 top 15 players don't make it a national. It's a slightly more stacked Midwest Mayhem. But more than anything, the number of attendees is what bothers me. Even the PG stats had qualms about upgrading ZeRo Saga and UGC to tier 1 events because of the number of people there. Maybe we should have defined rules for this stuff, because having a Xanadu-sized event be classified as a national just doesn't sit right with me xD
Also if we compare it to a tournament like Endgame (which is considered a regional, and I agree), not only did it have almost twice the number of entrants, it had the same number of top 15 players (ZeRo, Ally, Tweek at the time, arguably Zinoto because he had an amazing summer), and a good amount of national/regional-level threats: Mr. E, Ryuga, Trela, JJROCKETS, Shinjoebi, Ksev, Ned, Colinies, Darkshad... - While it is true that Zinoto was generally considered to be Top 15 when Endgame happened, Komorikiri and Marss both had better results than Tweek at the time (and still do), and it was widely agreed upon that ZeRo/Ally/Nairo/Dabuz/Abadango/Larry Lurr/Mr. R/VoiD/ANTi/MKLeo/Ranai/Kameme were the other 12 members of the Top 15 (in no particular order, of course).
- However, I do see your overall point regarding Endgame. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 18:03, 8 December 2016 (EST)
