- Yuna is well known for his excuses in tournaments. The Swedish smash community turned his excuses into their local variation of No Johns, "Inga Yunas," though the grammar is considered to be incorrect.
- Yuna is otherwise known for his ridiculously lucky item picks. He has picked multiple stitches as well as beam swords and otherwise.
- DJ Nintendo often plays with the "YUNA" tag.
