==Stage overview==
Wii Fit Studio is a [[walk-off]] stage, consisting of a large floor extending to the lateral [[blast line]]s, with no pits of any kind. The background features a giant mirror reflecting the battle, which allows viewers to see beyond the normal limits of the screen, but not beyond the blast lines. The mirror can at times disappear, being replaced with a white background featuring silhouettes which demonstrate the following yoga positions: 

Half Moon,
Warrior,
Tree,
Sun Salutation,
Dance,
Bridge,
Gate

While the mirror is active, two or three Wii Balance Boards acting as [[Platform#Soft platforms|soft]] platforms can descend from the ceiling, remaining present for some time before ascending again. The layout of the platforms is randomly selected from 125 different configurations. Like the platforms on [[Umbra Clock Tower]], [[Prism Tower]], and [[Magicant]], they disappear just before touching the upper blast line, preventing fighters from being KO'd by them.

An animated [[Wii Balance Board]] waddles around and occasionally stops and stretches facing the camera, but has no bearing on the battle. At times, a Wii Fit Trainer's voice can be heard, giving instructions on yoga positions. In ''Ultimate'', the human silhouettes from various on-screen indicators in the ''Wii Fit'' series appear as background characters, performing yoga and using the exercise machines.

[[Star KO]]s and [[Screen KO]]s are disabled on this stage, due to the mirror.

In [[8-Player Smash]], the mirror does not appear.

===Ω forms and Battlefield form===
In ''Super Smash Bros. for Wii U'', the [[Ω form]] removes the walk-offs, the walking Wii Balance Board, and Wii Balance Board platforms, and the platform extends below the [[blast line]]. The mirror does not appear, instead having only the background with the trainer's silhouette, but the trainer's voice lines can still be heard.

In ''Super Smash Bros. Ultimate'', the Ω form and [[Battlefield form]] are similar to ''SSB4'''s Ω form; however, the main platform does not extend below the blast line and is resized and reshaped to match {{SSBU|Final Destination}} and {{SSBU|Battlefield}}, respectively. The three [[soft platform]]s of the Battlefield form are Wii Balance Boards, which in turn are based on the soft platforms of the normal form.

With hazards off in ''Ultimate'', the back wall remains in mirror form for the whole match, and while the stage still selects random positions for the floating platforms, they never leave their place.

The stage is based on the Wii Fit Trainers' studio in ''{{s|wikipedia|Wii Fit}}'', which they appear in during yoga lessons.

The Wii Balance Board is a Wii accessory that is used to play the ''Wii Fit'' games and is available as part of the control scheme of some other select games. An animated Wii Balance Board acts as the player's advisor in the ''Wii Fit'' games.

==Tournament legality==
Wii Fit Studio is universally banned from tournaments due to the presence of walk-off blast lines which encourage camping and allow for early KOs. Additionally, the mirror in the background can increase the chance of lag occurring, as well as potentially create a distraction to players.

*Uniquely, the main platform in the 8-Player Ω form differs from that of the regular Ω form's main platform, as the exercise equipment is not resized with the rest of the platform. The only other stage to have this trait is [[Minecraft World]].
*It is normally impossible to be [[Star KO]]'d or [[Screen KO]]'d on this stage. Using game modifications, it is possible to enable these KOs on the stage, resulting in strange effects. Star KO'd characters will appear to fly closer to the stage and at some angles will even appear to be in front of the stage. Screen KO'd characters will be seen in the mirror and will sink into the ground. This allows viewing of characters' Screen KO models and animations in their entirety.
*In ''Super Smash Bros. Ultimate'', [[Alucard]] is one of seven Assist Trophies that don't appear on this stage. During a tournament hosted by Nintendo Spain on December 14, 2018, it was stated that he doesn't appear because the stage has a giant mirror, referencing how vampires do not have a reflection in a mirror due to them being mostly made of silver, which vampires are weak to. However, if hacks are used to spawn him in the stage, it can be seen that he indeed does have a reflection. This makes him the only Assist Trophy to not be allowed on a stage as a reference to media outside of ''Smash''.
**The other Assist Trophies which cannot appear on this stage are: the [[Moon]] (due to the stage being indoors), [[Nightmare]], [[Andross]], [[Devil]], [[Nikki]], and [[Yuri Kozukata]]. Additionally, the following [[Poké Ball]] Pokémon cannot be summoned: [[Abra]], [[Lugia]] and [[Lunala]]. Aside from Nikki and Abra, all of these characters move into the stage's background, which could cause issues with the mirror. Abra is excluded due to this being a walk-off stage.
*The mirror in the background is not actually a mirror, but simply the entire stage flipped on the z-axis. This is a common trick in video games, as it is much easier than making a texture that reflects perfectly. This means that the player is actually controlling two character models at the same time during a game.
**This causes a side effect where actions with random elements, such as {{SSB4|Pac-Man}}'s [[Namco Roulette]], would often not show the same effect on both sides. This is prevented by simply removing the effects on the mirror side.
*The silhouettes of the trainers doing poses in the background are 3D models. Normally, they are reduced to a monochrome silhouette, but if the [[Squid Sisters]] are playing on the [[Ω form|Ω]] or [[Battlefield form]]s, the harsh lighting right next to the trainer will reveal the features of their body, making it possible to see their model in some detail, including {{iw|wikipedia|Z-fighting}} where some limbs join.

==Trivia==
*As of version 1.0.2, Wii Fit Studio is the only stage available for 8 players to not have its Ω form playable for 8 players.
