Origin
Origin
Weavile is a Dark/Ice-type Pokémon introduced in bulbapedia, and it was among the very first Generation IV Pokémon ever revealed, making its official debut in the movie bulbapedia. Weavile is categorized within the Pokédex at #461 as the "Sharp Claw Pokémon". It evolves from Sneasel when leveling up at night while holding a bulbapedia. It is very fast and focuses on physical attacks.
Weavile was introduced in the fourth generation of Pokémon, albeit appearing in the third generation of the anime, before its game appearance. It can learn its Poké Ball attack, bulbapedia, through TM (Technical Machine), and uses mostly physical attacks rather than special attacks (non-physical).

bulbapedia is a physical Normal-type introduced in bulbapedia. It has 40 base power, 100% accuracy, and the property of not being able to KO its target, leaving it with 1 HP left; it is thus rarely used in competitive play, but very valuable when trying to catch wild Pokémon. Weavile, like several other Pokémon, can learn it with bulbapedia.

Weavile appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Brawl. When summoned, Weavile will use False Swipe and slash at other foes on the stage furiously. On the ground, the attack only does 1% damage with no knockback, but any opponent that gets hit will be stunned. Weavile moves back and forth for a long duration of time, trapping opponents for that period of time. When used on an airborne opponent, the attack has high knockback, making a Star KO very likely. In the Pokémon games, the move False Swipe would reduce the opponent's HP to up to 1 HP, never below, making it strange that this move can KO. Like Fox Illusion, if Weavile darts off an edge, it will KO itself.

Despite the move False Swipe reducing the opponent's HP to up to 1 HP, never below, in the Pokémon games, this move can KO in Brawl (albeit at very high percents). *Weavile's trophy in Brawl is nearly identical to its official artwork from bulbapedia onwards.
*This Weavile's longer ears suggest it is male.
