The versus splash screen is a feature in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It serves as the loading screen preceding Smash battles and Online battles. It shows the combatants of the match in their official renders and their selected costumes. Mii Fighters have their faces shadowed on the screen. Above the renders are the fighters' names and series symbols and the players' names. If the battle is a 1-on-1, text reading 'Vs.' (formatted as 'VS' in Asian languages) appears between the two fighters. Each fighter on the screen has a colored background corresponding to their player color (red for P1, blue for P2, yellow for P3, green for P4, orange for P5, cyan for P6, pink for P7, purple for P8, gray for CPUs, and white for FPs); in Team Battles, the background color instead corresponds to the team's color. If loading takes long enough, tips will appear on the bottom of the screen. An alternate version of the screen appears as the loading screen for spirit battles; this version features the battle's conditions on the bottom-left, lacks tips, shows the primary spirit used by the player and the spirit being fought, and does not shadow the faces of Mii Fighters.
The versus splash screen is a gameplay element used in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This screen shows the combatants of the match in their official render and their alternate costume along with the player's name. It will appear after everyone has selected their fighter in a versus match. In forwiiu, similar displays appeared during gameplay on the Wii U GamePad when tapped, as well as on the Boxing Ring's jumbotron.

The Boxing Ring's jumbotron bears a somewhat similar display. Additionally, in Smash 4, a similar display appears, with it appearing on the bottom screen in for3ds and on the Wii U GamePad when it is tapped during a match in forwiiu.
