In all versions of Marth's games, Shadow Dragon and Mystery of the Emblem, the weapon is only ever referred to as Falchion in both languages. Actually the idea of Falchion needing to be powered up is something that isn't in Archanea at all. Remember as well the Fire Emblem was broken apart for hundreds of years in Marth's times and unlike in Awakening, it wasn't a blood locked weapon. :It's a retcon, but it's still the simplest way to clarify the difference. Even if Marth's appearances are not canon to his story personally, SoV, Heroes, and Warriors are still official Fire Emblem games, so Exalted Falchion is a canon name. But most importantly, it's the name Smash Bros. uses, and that's what this wiki covers. TheNuttyOne 17:30, May 27, 2020 (EDT)

:: The Warriors names Chrom's Falchion as simply the Falchion, no sealed mention and only one variant of Marth in Heroes using an Exalted Falchion, the others just use a weapon called Falchion. If its the name, Palutena's guidance uses fine, but it should be noted that Marth's weapon is only ever called the Exalted Falchion in spinoff. Unlike in Awakening, Falchion did not contain Naga's spiritual essence nor was it a blood locked weapon like the fireemblemwiki was. :::"Exalted Falchion" is a translation of the Japanese term 神剣ファルシオン, which is used sparingly through the Archanea games and was translated in Shadow Dragons English script as "the divine blade Falchion". "Exalted" is the newer term and is used for Marth's Falchion in Shadows of Valentia as well as Heroes and Warriors, in addition to the Palutena's Guidance conversation. And Chrom's sword is named 封剣ファルシオン in Japanese across all appearances, which is generally translated as just "Falchion", but "Sealed Falchion" is used in Heroes. When the blade awakens its true power, it's renamed "Exalted Falchion" like Marth's blade to reflect that it's returned to its original power from the Archanea games. The main point is to clearly distinguish the three versions of the blade, so "Exalted Falchion" is used for Marth's to match Palutena's Guidance and "Sealed Falchion" is used for Chrom's to match Heroes. You can see more detail about it here. ~ <span style="color: #e68;">Serena Strawberry</span> (talk) 18:41, May 27, 2020 (EDT)
:::: Archanea's Falchion was not a Holy Blood weapon and the Binding Shield had been broken for years by the time Marth got it. Any lore about the Falchion needing the full binding Shield to be a full power or being blood locked only applies to Awakening. Read about it here fireemblemwiki and here, fireemblemwiki. In general, Awakening has a lot of things that aren't explained in relation to Archanea and many flat out errors within the script. In Archanea lore, Falchion was an incredibly strong sword but it wasn't locked to humans with dragon infused blood and Marth had none of it nor did Anri. The Fire Emblem was made for sealing dragons rather then awakening them or powering Falchion. Even within Awakening, itself, it is said the Falchion wasn't powered up by Naga and blood locked until 1000 years after the death of Marth in the days of the fireemblemwiki. :::::Here's the thing: We're a Smash Bros wiki, we do things the way they are in Smash Bros. If Smash uses "exalted" we use that, plus we use it to distinguish it between the three Falchions. Furthermore you violated SW:WAR so just leave things be for now. ==Min Min's costumes 5-8==
I posted on the Alternate costume talk page, but nobody seems to respond there, so I'm asking you since you edit that page a lot. Would Min Min's costumes 5-8 be references to Spring Man, Mechanica, Ribbon Girl, and Max Brass respectively? They seem like similar colorations. == ARMS and masks. ==

Before this breaks out into an edit war I want to point you to these images from the in game gallery of ARMS . The text in the first lines up with what's a presented in the comic. There's an old Tweet from Nintendo from back before the game's release with the same image that states that ARMS return to "normal" without the mask, but I think the translation might have been inaccurate or unintentionally ambiguous. "Normal" in this case likely refers to the state of the ARMS being uncontrollable. The in game text stating that ARMS users lose control without their masks is likely more accurate and better matches what's consistently depicted in the game and comic. The latter images both have illustrations of people who visibly have the ARMS ability not wearing masks, showing that the traits are still active even without it. The second also further goes into the issue of trying to control ARMS without a mask and depicts a maskless ARMS user struggling to do so.

EDIT: Looks like the imgur link isn't working quite right. If you get a 404 error and there's a "%7C" at the end of URL then delete it and it should work I think.
NuFace (talk) 22:07, July 1, 2020 (EDT)
:The main thing here is that, since Sakurai directly mentioned working with ARMS dev team, I doubt they'd go back on canon information. The literal translation of the info in the tweet is as such; マスクを外せば、普通の腕に戻れる優れもの。 "If you remove the mask, you can return to normal arms (futsū no ude)." There's not much ambiguity to that; it's "arms that are normal", not "the normal state of the arms". It's maybe not black-and-white; if you wanted to stretch you could say that both are canon, that the ARMS return to normal but have the risk of becoming uncoiled. I wouldn't mind readding the info about the ARMS becoming uncontrollable, but my main point is that there's evidence to back up the depiction in Min Min's trailer, and it doesn't totally diverge from canon. It's mainly a problem because it hasn't been depicted anywhere else. ~ <span style="color: #e68;">Serena Strawberry</span> (talk) 22:20, July 1, 2020 (EDT)
::(Also, I got the imgur link working fine, and I see what you mean about the in-game text, yeah.) ~ <span style="color: #e68;">Serena Strawberry</span> (talk) 22:20, July 1, 2020 (EDT)
:::I went ahead and looked up the other Tweet in question, and here's what it says: "The 'Mask' solves the phenomenon where the arms switch states unwillingly. With this stability, outstretched arms can punch cleanly, so the motivation to compete rapidly increased." In other words, at least by the Japanese text, the mask actually controls the state of the arms (ude no jōtai), either regular human arms or coiled ARMS. Putting on the mask just causes them to be coiled all the time. The English text seems to have used a less literal translation, so I think that's likely the deciding factor here... ~ <span style="color: #e68;">Serena Strawberry</span> (talk) 22:40, July 1, 2020 (EDT)
:With all that in mind, I re-added the info you mentioned. It admittedly makes it a bit ramble-y, and could probably be cleaned up further, but the gist of it is that there is evidence that both supports and contradicts Min Min's human arms in the trailer. We probably won't know until we get something that goes into more depth about what happens when you remove the mask (a potential sequel?). I'm more than willing to hear you out if you have any comments about this, and sorry for the flood of replies. ~ <span style="color: #e68;">Serena Strawberry</span> (talk) 23:17, July 1, 2020 (EDT)

Goldeen voice actor
Hey, I noticed that in 2019 you added that Goldeen was voiced by Veronica Taylor in Super Smash Bros. 64. Where does this information come from? I noticed it was missing from Bulbapedia, but wanted to make sure it was properly sourced. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 09:03, August 18, 2020 (EDT)
: It was listed on the List of voice actors page. I'm not sure where that came from, so it might be worth looking at the in-game credits to double-check. ~ <span style="color: #e68;">Serena Strawberry</span> (talk) 15:13, August 18, 2020 (EDT)

Bringing up an editing habit of yours
So I've noticed that throughout your time on SmashWiki, you've made several edits at a time rather than doing all of them in one go (a recent example being with your latest edits on the Ganondorf page).

Considering you've been editing for SmashWiki for a long time (even longer than I have been), I think you should be aware of this by now:

By using Show Preview, you're able to view and catch any mistakes you have made before saving your draft.

That being said, I've noticed one of your edit summaries on Ganondorf's page states "sorry i keep noticing little things", so maybe the issue is that some things keep coming to your mind immediately after you save your draft (in all honesty, this is a habit I do have from time to time). In that case, I think the best solution is to just keep rereading your draft several times until you get one that you're fully satisfied with. <span style="color: green;">SuperSmashTurtles</span> of the <span style="color: lightgreen;">Turtle Tribe</span> 04:30, May 18, 2021 (EDT)
:Yep, I'm totally aware of the "show preview" button... I just completely forget it exists when I get into an editing frame of mind and constantly make little tweaks and additions. That's why I tend to apologize when I make a lot of edits, because I realize too late that I should've been using "show preview" rather than clogging up the recent changes. I'll definitely keep that last point in mind, since I haven't previously thought about doing that. Thanks for reaching out to me. ~ <span style="color: #e68;">StrawberryChan</span> (talk) 04:35, May 18, 2021 (EDT)
