User talk:Amber Blackstar/Fighter Movie Appearances
If you're counting shorts, Pichu actually debuted here. If you're counting animated series, at least some of the Pokémon characters debuted earlier. -Menshay (talk) 05:52, 4 October 2015 (EDT)
- I'm definitely not counting TV shows here, because it's for movies, but as for the shorts that appear before the movies though, I dunno. On one hand I might as well, but at the same time it also feels rather redundant when I think about it too. Bulbaboy (talk) 06:08, 4 October 2015 (EDT)
Duck Hunt[edit]
I've watched Wreck-It Ralph numerous times, and I never noticed the ducks. At what point do they appear? Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura 17:57, 6 October 2015 (EDT)
- I'm not exactly sure, to be honest I don't even know for sure if they do appear, I'm just going by sources I found online. I do plan on rewatching the movie at some point in the future so that way I can confirm or deny this, so until then don't take the duck appearance as fact just yet, but if you do happen to find proof that they're in it, please let me know. List of characters who haven't been in movies?[edit]
Idk it'd probably be a large list but having a list of fighters who haven't been in movies at the bottom seems like it would be a nice addition. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by BOO! Or maybe Nutta. 21:06, 12 October 2015 (EDT)
- Yeah it sounds like an interesting idea, and it can help me remember which characters have been in the series without having to go to the character list page to remind myself. I'll take it into consideration. Disaster Flare (talk) 21:18, 12 October 2015 (EDT)

Pikachu definitely appears. Checking for Ivy and Jiggly now. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by a turkey! Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 23:23, 20 November 2015 (EST)
- Thank you. I'll hold off on changing anything else until there's confirmation for the other two however, so that way I'm not cluttering the RC. Disaster Flare (talk) 23:24, 20 November 2015 (EST)
- Ivysaur appears in Oak's explanation in the first episode; Jigglypuff appears in Silph Co. in the third. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by a turkey! Or maybe DatNuttyKid. 23:25, 20 November 2015 (EST)

Add assist trophy and pokeball characters here 73.52.84.159 22:04, 23 June 2016 (EDT)
- I thought about it once, but this is for fighters, and adding ATs and Poke Ball Pokemon would just be overkill and redundant. Disaster Flare (talk) 22:06, 23 June 2016 (EDT)

You can plz make a nother sandbox for it 73.52.84.159 15:32, 24 June 2016 (EDT)

https://www.mariowiki.com/Amada_Anime_Series:_Super_Mario_Bros. And Mario Kirby Video in the Shorts category. 50.164.95.83 00:06, 18 January 2017 (EST)
- Okay, I understand the first part, but you'll have to be a little more specific with "Mario Kirby Video". A source on the existence of such a thing would be nice too. Disaster Flare (talk) 00:09, 18 January 2017 (EST)
- I believe they're referring to this. Miles (talk) 02:16, 18 January 2017 (EST)

You also forgot the obsurce King Koopa's Kool Kartoons, where a hideous-looking live-action Bowser (unlike the 1993 movie,he had a video game-like look),and the Super Mario Bros. ice skating video. 50.164.95.83 13:05, 18 January 2017 (EST)
- I purposely left out Koopa's Kool Kartoons, since it's mainly just reruns of the already-mentioned cartoons. As for an ice skating video.....what? If it's like some kind of "Mario on Ice" thing, that's being left out too. I'm not doing broadway and "on Ice" stuff, because 1: This is mainly meant for movies and TV shows, and 2: If I were to include those, this article would most likely have a longer load time than Sonic '06 and the Sonic Boom games combined. Disaster Flare (talk) 13:08, 18 January 2017 (EST)

Daisy[edit]
Uh, Daisy was in the Super Mario Bros. movie. Her character was closer to the actual Daisy than Iggy's was, so if you count Iggy, you should definitely count her. TheNuttyOne 01:01, 8 August 2018 (EDT)

Ridley in Captain N[edit]
I saw you didn't want other people editing this page without your consent, so I figured I'd play it safe and leave you a message on the talk page instead. Anyways, there's actually one more fighter that appears in Captain N: The Game Master: Ridley. He's barely recognizable (much like Simon and other characters, so that's hardly a surprise), but it's confirmed to be him via storyboards and model sheets. --PeabodySam (talk) 10:52, March 26, 2020 (EDT)
Characters who are not on TV[edit]
Um, sorry to bother you but: There was a Castlevania TV show on Netflix once. The Belmont in it might have been Richter, but I am unsure. Also, the old Zelda shows featured Gannon(see what I did there) in them, so perhaps Gannondorf(yet again) appeared during those same scenes. JustSomeCloudMain (talk) 23:16, June 4, 2020 (EDT) JustSomeCloudMain (talk) 23:16, June 4, 2020 (EDT)
- The Netflix Castlevania series does not feature Simon nor Richter (the Belmont featured is named Trevor), and while Ganon does appear in the old Zelda stuff, Ganondorf was never introduced prior to Ocarina of Time (The show aired 1989 whereas Ocarina of Time was 1998, nearly a decade after). Hope that clears things up. Disaster Flare (talk) 23:27, June 4, 2020 (EDT)
Marth's Digimon cameo[edit]
Should it even qualify for this list? If I recall on your "blacklist", you excluded Pac-Man's cameo in Tron due to being more of a "witty reference" than a "legitimate reference".
Unless there's more scenes of him in the episode than from what I could find, that seems to be the same case for "Marth's" cameo in Digimon. And even if he appears in more than that scene, is that character actually supposed to be Marth or is it just an unlicensed lookalike of him? SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 23:41, June 4, 2020 (EDT)
- Compared to other cameos within the episode, the resemblance to Marth is too uncanny to ignore. Additionally, I blacklisted Pac-Man's appearance in Tron because it's not technically Pac-Man, if I'm remembering right they're looking at a map that's designed like a Pac-Man grid. Compare that to Marth, the context of the episode is that a Digimon is bringing video game characters to life, so one can very easily deduce that as Marth. Disaster Flare (talk) 23:45, June 4, 2020 (EDT)
- I now understand, but my real concern is if that appearance is actually official or not. Like, is there any word from the show's producers/Toei/Bandai Namco/Intelligent Systems/Nintendo/whatever on whether that character is indeed supposed to be Marth or not, no matter how much he resembles him? It may not be a parody, but its status as an official crossover is way too dubious for me to believe that it belongs here. SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 23:55, June 4, 2020 (EDT)
- It's kind of a semantics thing, really (which this page is filled to the brim with at this point). He's definitely not a parody because unlike other characters there, he's not being made fun of or based on anyone, and while to my knowledge it hasn't been stated that it's Marth, like I said, the resemblance is just close enough including the context of why he's there in the first place to where one can easily assume until told otherwise. Like I said, it's a semantics thing, it just feels really strange to me to not make note of it. Disaster Flare (talk) 23:59, June 4, 2020 (EDT)
- I see now. Personally, I'd either remove this entirely, or at the least, make a list of "lookalike" cameos and include it there
and remove sans and cuphead from this sandbox entirely, but that's a whole other can of worms, but it is your sandbox, so feel free to add whatever you want. - Anyway, I'd probably recommend making a note about his "appearance" in Digimon just so it won't stir up any confusion. SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 00:12, June 5, 2020 (EDT)

These appearances in movies[edit]
How do you know that a playable Smash character will appear in the LEGO Batman Movie 2 and the Funko Pop movie? SonDaniel (talk page) 20:44, June 14, 2020 (EDT)
- I don't know, but due to crossover potential, they're pre-emptively listed, Funko especially since some Smash characters already have Pop! figures. Disaster Flare (talk) 21:20, June 14, 2020 (EDT)
Animal Crossing Movie[edit]
So, regarding the Animal Crossing movie, there are actually TWO human characters: Ai, as mentioned on the page, and another one, Yu.
From what info I could find regarding the latter character, he seems to be based on the concept of one player visiting another's town, so I think he definitely deserves a mention on that film's section as a stand-in for the male Villager, much like how Ai is a stand-in for the female Villager. SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 13:05, July 6, 2020 (EDT)
Why[edit]
Isn’t there assist trophies Pokéball Pokémon bosses and enemies listed here? 174.55.24.64 00:26, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
- Because that's way too much work and will create way too much fluff and clutter, and this page only focuses on fighters. Disaster Flare (talk) 15:44, July 22, 2020 (EDT)
Squirtle ASMR[edit]
On the Japanese pokemon YouTube channel, there is a short with Squirtle on it. 174.55.24.64 22:43, August 13, 2020 (EDT)
Lego Batman Movie 2[edit]
Where'd you get info on The Lego Batman Movie 2?
I'm asking this because, apparently, Warner Bros. no longer owns the rights to produce any future Lego-based films (the current owner is now Universal), and since Batman is a Warner Bros.-owned property, it's very uncertain if the film will ever be made.
Juat wanted to point that out. SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 01:46, September 13, 2020 (EDT)
- I'm doing digging on it myself, but a lot of websites seem to be reporting it. Disaster Flare (talk) 02:45, September 13, 2020 (EDT)
- I see. If this were my sandbox, I'd just leave it at "TBD" until we get official word from someone at Warner Bros. or one of the film's staff. For now, this seems to be just a baseless rumor. SuperSmashTurtles of the Turtle Tribe 02:51, September 13, 2020 (EDT)
Mario short[edit]
There are Mario animated shorts released for trains in the Kanto region. 174.55.24.64 17:07, September 14, 2020 (EDT)

Nintendo switch paraental controls[edit]
Does that count as a cartoon with Bowser and Bowser Jr? 174.55.24.64 03:57, February 19, 2021 (EST)
- I believe that counts as advertisement or presentation (like E3 2019). Superbound (talk) 05:37, February 19, 2021 (EST)
About adding books to your project...[edit]
Don't know if you still pay attention to this page anymore, but the topic I'm about to bring up does relate to your "Fighter Media Appearances" project, so I thought it was appropriate to bring it here.
So on your "Fighter Media Appearances" site, you stated that you wish to include books onto the project, as well. Assuming manga also falls under that category, then I would like to remind you of the dozens of Pokémon manga available that could potentially qualify for the list (some of which don't have pages on Bulbapedia nor have their number of volumes and/or chapters listed on the linked page).
With the info I've given, how are you gonna handle this inevitable issue? The Jacketed Terrapin 23:49, December 14, 2021 (EST)
- Same as how I handle any info missing on any other categories: I'll just put in what I have been able to confirm and then put what's missing on another section. Amber Blackstar (talk) 21:59, December 15, 2021 (EST)

I’m not sure if you remember me, but I’m anon 174. You forgot to add Pokémon Evolutions and probably pretty soon Hishuian Snow on your fighter movie list for the Pokémon. 174.55.24.64 22:59, May 24, 2022 (EDT)
Jigglypuff and mewtwo[edit]
